In the above verse, as David waits for God to answer his prayer, he searches his heart and confesses anything that might be hindering his relationship with God. Even when you aren’t waiting on the Lord, now is the perfect time to surrender your will and ask God to align your desires with His plans.
Merciful God, forgive me of my wrongdoings, my selfish requests, so that I can serve You with reverence.
