I began this process with prayer, asking God to help me strike a healthy balance. Make good use of time, because you can never get back what you lose.

It’s always good to start the new year with a prayer point, one that points God in the direction of our need. Here is mine.

Prayer is not new, but it does have the ability to help me see with new eyes.

I have learned that I can give something that money can’t buy: Praying for others is a gift.

We will pray for Newtown to be filled with God’s love. We will pray for his light to shine in the darkness.

God’s mercy is like nothing else. He shows his great love toward us every day.

Time spent in prayer for someone else is the greatest gift anyone can give.

Many people are anxious in this hectic holiday season leading up to Christmas. But there is another option, through prayer.

As you pray, ask God to reveal how good he has been during your lifetime, and give thanks.

Remember: God knows who you are and will equip you to accomplish his purposes on Earth.
