After the cousins mysteriously receive a valuable first edition of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s Evangeline, they are even more perplexed when they discover that it was once owned by their grandmother! However, after bringing the book to Bristol Payson to have it appraised, the book is stolen! To make matters worse, Elaine’s daughter has begun to spend an awful lot of time with one of the prime suspects for the theft! How will this mystery play out, and can familial love overcome overwhelming suspicions? Meanwhile, Elaine and Jan pick up a gorgeous chandelier from the local Department of Public Works. However, when the chandelier explodes for no apparent reason, it appears as though the cousins have yet another mystery on their hands!
