About The Book

Anne is thrilled when her old high school friend Tami Bates returns to Blue Hill for a visit. Tami is a theater producer’s assistant in London, and she has an intriguing mystery for Anne. In the pocket of a costume she purchased at an auction, Tami found a note that mentions the legendary missing play by Hugh Bettridge, a famous playright. The note is signed by Edie Summers and indicates Anne’s aunt had the missing play. Anne hasn’t come across the script, but she agrees to look for it. She quickly learns several other people are also searching for the valuable manuscript and are willing to go to great lengths to get it.

Meanwhile, the local drama society is putting on a play to raise money for a new roof for the theater. Ben and Liddie eagerly join the cast, and Anne reluctantly agrees to take over a small role when the original actress is injured. The only problem is her character is supposed to kiss Alex’s character! Can Anne get over her jitters so that the show can go on?
