Can you imagine taking off on a road trip in a rickety, decked-out RV to deliver Christmas cheer to strangers all the way from Chicago to Phoenix?

That’s exactly what joy decided to do in The Christmas Joy Ride, at the age of 85 years young! Joy is downsizing her home and dividing up her enormous collection of Christmas decorations amassed over the decades. Among her many hobbies, she hosts a popular Christmas website, and recently ran a contest to find families along her route who could benefit from a dose of Christmas goodness and a batch of her famous Christmas cookies.

After all the baking, and packing, and deciding who to surprise with a special gift and a message of God’s love—she’s ready.
When her neighbor Miranda hears of her plans, at first she tries to stop her. However, once exposed to Joy’s infectious Christmas spirit, Miranda can’t resist her invitation, and decides to join her. Miranda is still recovering from a difficult divorce, and is about to lose her home, so she feels she has nothing to lose and thinks this trip might be God’s way of giving her a fresh start.

Of course as soon as the ladies hit the road, challenges arise. But with strong faith, a lot of prayer, and a good sense of humor, their journey brings blessings to many, and to themselves.
