The stories are all different—very different. And the writers have different styles, different tones, different messages.

I recently happened to leave a copy of Guideposts in a seatback pocket on an airplane, Air France Flight 10, from Paris to New York. One thing I’ve learned about Guideposts is that it travels well.

The way players react to wins and losses, how they handle pressure and “big points,” and the unbelievable shots they make not only inspire me but also offer pointers that I can use in my everyday life.
