The Answer Is Yes

For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory.—2 Corinthians 1:20 ESV

God will never break a promise, leave or forsake you, or break His Word. Know that when you put your faith in God, the answer is always Yes. Rejoice in the fact that He will always be true to His promises.

Amen to Your glory!

The Fruitful Life

The seed that fell among the thorns represents others who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life, the lure of wealth, and the desire for other things, so no fruit is produced.—Mark 4:18–19 NLT
As we prepare for Thanksgiving, it is the perfect time to thank God for giving us a fruitful life. Because of Him, we can weed out worry and cultivate trust and contentment. When we make Him the center of our life, we experience the true essence of living.
Heavenly Father, thank You for helping me weed unhealthy worries and thoughts from my life.

Jesus Knows

Because he himself suffered when
he was tempted, he is able to help
those who are being tempted.—Hebrews 2:18 NIV

Whatever trial, loss or temptation you are going through, Jesus knows. There is nothing too hard, painful, or devastating that He does not identify with. When you bring your suffering to Him in prayer, He feels Your pain as you feel His comfort.
Heavenly Father, on days when I feel tested, I know I can go on because You are with me.

His Glorious Joy

May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.—Colossians 1:11 ESV
God wants us to be joyful, to share His excitement for life—and to enlighten others with His joy by being kind and patient, by caring for one another. When you lift up another’s spirit, you receive an unexpected boost of joy yourself! The more you give the more you receive from life.

Dear God, thank You for Your glorious joy that inspires
me to live generously.

received, grace upon grace.—John 1:16 ESV

God showers you in a never-ending, constant supply of “grace upon grace.” His blessings and favor flow over you, cleansing and satisfying you. If you feel unworthy or lacking, repeat the above verse and imagine His grace flowing upon you and filling you with divine light.
Heavenly Father, each day is a sacred gift, designed by You and filled with grace upon grace.

God Lives in You

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.—1 Corinthians 3:16–17 NIV
The next time you feel down about your physical body—judging your shape or weight—think this: God lives in me! Take a moment and really take that fact to heart. You are the vessel for the Holy Spirit!
Heavenly Father, when I concentrate on this verse, I feel my heart swell with Your perfect presence.

Relax, God Has It Covered

Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.—Proverbs 19:21 NIV
God wants us to realize that there will be unexpected situations and circumstances that occur in our lives, times when we have to relinquish our sense of control and be flexible. When this happens, trust God’s plan is at work.
Heavenly Father, help me graciously accept changes, knowing that in a world of unknowns and twists and turns, You are constant.

The Master Carpenter

When the Sabbath came, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were amazed. “Where did this man get these things?” they asked. “What’s this wisdom that has been given him? What are these remarkable miracles he is performing? Isn’t this the carpenter? Isn’t this Mary’s son and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” And they took offense at him.—Mark 6:2–3 NIV
Jesus skillfully constructs our lives. Our experiences sand away the rough edges and smooth out our character. He invests His time, love and tender care in completing each and every one of us.
Lord Jesus, You are the Master Carpenter shaping us into works of art.

Conquer Your Giants

Now therefore, give me this mountain of which the Lord spoke in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anakim were there, and that the cities were great and fortified. It may be that the Lord will be with me, and I shall be able to drive them out as the Lord said.—Joshua 14:12 NKJV

Do you ever feel as if you are standing at the foot of a mountain wondering if you can conquer your giants? Fear can convince you to back down and surrender before you even try. With Jesus’ help you can stand your ground and tackle anything!

Lord Jesus, no matter what I think are my limitations, with Your help I can be victorious!

Rooted in Jesus

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.—Colossians 2:6–7 NIV

Jesus wants us to grow spiritually strong and develop deep and strong roots by studying His Word and following His guidance. The more time we devote to our relationship with God, the stronger we grow.

Heavenly Father, I praise You for planting me firmly as I grow in faith.

Share Your Problems

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.—James 5:16 NIV
There is a reason that God asks us to confess our sins to one another. It’s not to shame us but rather to share our burdens. When we are honest about our trials and troubles with others, we help one another heal.
Lord, thank You for helping me see that sharing my problems helps me to trust and heal.
