Don’t Be an April Fool

But God said to him, “You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?”—Luke 12:20 (NIV)

The parable about a farmer who selfishly stored his treasure is a lesson to teach us that we should never hoard God’s gifts. Don’t fall into the trap of being a materialistic fool. Focus your attention on your relationship with God, knowing His kingdom is built on more lasting things.

Give me wisdom, Lord, to fix my heart on You, for You are my greatest treasure.

Stay on the Right Road

And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it. Isaiah 35:8 (NIV)
