Happy new year! You made it through 2021—a year filled with unprecedented difficulties and uncertainties. Take a moment and ask God to help you find peace and strength as you start 2022. Fix your eyes on Him.
Heavenly Father, help me welcome each day with appreciation for the blessings of Your love.

During this special time of Advent, reflect on the qualities of selflessness, humility and devotion that please and amaze God. Know that great faith is found by knowing Him and turning to Him in prayer to help others.

Dr. Norman Vincent Peale said, “If you worry, you are a worrier because your mind is saturated with worry thoughts. To counteract these, mark every passage in your Bible that speaks of faith, hope, and courage.” Instead of focusing your energy on your problems, focus on God and His Word.
God of Heaven, sometimes I need help focusing on You and not my fears. Keep my mind fixed on what is good and true—Your Word.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.—2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
As Apostle Paul explains in the above Scripture, God’s power works when we are weak. When you need strength for a challenge, invite Him to turn your shortcomings into an opportunity to boost your faith and experience His power.
Heavenly Father, Your grace is more than sufficient for me.
Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”—John 8:12 (RSV)
As we enter into autumn and the shortening of daylight hours, it is the perfect time to turn our focus to the Light of the world. Thank God for His many blessings and ask for His guidance in how you might help spread His great light to those around you.
Dear Lord, when the world seems to be getting darker— help us hold fast to Your bright love.

God invites you to come to Him and He will restore and replenish your energy. He will refocus your mind and heart. He will satiate your weary soul and you will awake feeling comforted and loved.

Pastor A. W. Tozer wrote, “Human nature is not fixed, and for this we should thank God day and night! We are still capable of change. We can become something other than what we are.” Because of God, we can change our thinking, change our actions and change our lives.
Dear Lord, thank You for the circumstances that have led me to become a better person, to grow my love for others and my love for You.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.—Psalm 46:1 KJV
When you feel overwhelmed and burdened by your responsibilities take this verse to heart. Don’t try to handle everything by yourself. God is your protection, your solace, your comfort, and your refuge. Let Him flow in. Loosen your grip on the idea that you have to control everything and put the future into the hands of God.
Heavenly Father, I know that You are my refuge, my strength and my very present help. I open my heart and invite You in.

Set aside time each morning for prayer. Share your plans for the day. If something is on your mind, be still and ask for His direction. Surrender any pressing expectations of the outcome and be open to His plan and His will. Listen for His answer.
Lord, I am so thankful You’re with me throughout the day. Let me see every morning as a fresh start.

Devote a specific time every day to connect with God. It is best to begin your morning with prayer and align yourself with God’s will. Pray that your day serves Him by showering those around you with love, understanding and kindness. Ask Him to fill your spirit with His immense love.
