Rejoice and Be Glad

This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.—Psalm 118:24 (TLB)
When you wake each morning, decide to focus on the positive. Seek God’s presence, and ask Him to help you see opportunity instead of difficulty. Take His hand, and ask Him to walk with you and to guide you to spend your day in ways that will glorify Him.
Lord, help me make every day wonderful and bright.

Today marks the twentieth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks. As we pray for all those affected by the horrific events of that day, let us recite the prayer that Father Mychal Judge, a Franciscan priest and a chaplain for the New York City Fire Department, prayed on a daily basis. Father Judge was killed at the World Trade Center ministering to a fallen firefighter.
Lord, take me where You want me to go. Let me meet who You want me to meet. Tell me what You want me to say, and keep me out of Your way. (Father Mychal’s Prayer)
