Christmas Hope

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end.—Isaiah 9:6–7 (NIV)
Christmas is here at last. Today, as we celebrate the majesty of Jesus’ birth, reflect on the miracle of Christmas. In the words of Isaac Watts: “Joy to the world! The Lord is come; let earth receive her King; let every heart prepare Him room, and heaven and nature sing.”
Lord, let Your birth awaken the peace and hope that lives inside me.
