What It Means to Ask

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.—Matthew 7:7 (NIV)
This verse is often misunderstood to mean that whatever you ask for in prayer, God will deliver. The true meaning is that when you surrender your will for God’s, your prayers will be fulfilled in His chosen way. Trust that God always gives what you need, and the door will be opened for you.
Gracious Father, help me trust that where You guide, You provide. I am ready to put Your understanding over my wants and needs.
