A Day of Waiting

I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.—Lamentations 3:24–26 (NIV)
Holy Saturday is a day of waiting, a day that sits between the sorrow of Good Friday and the joy of Easter Sunday. In this time of waiting, remember that God’s plans are unfolding even when you can’t see them. Hold on to hope, knowing that the dawn of resurrection is near.
Heavenly Father, in times of waiting, help me to trust in Your perfect timing and hold onto hope.
