In the Right Place

I have called you by name; you are mine.—Isaiah 43:1 (NLT)
Turn to this Scripture when you feel filled with doubt, out of place, and out of your comfort zone. He is with you. He knows your name. He knows your every move. He is writing your life story with you. So when you are feeling out of place, go to this verse and know He has a place for you—right next to Him.
Dear Lord, thank You for this beautiful feeling of purpose and belonging that You bring to my life.

Use Good Words

The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body.—James 3:6 (NIV)
This scripture reminds us of the power of words—your words. Despite the old adage about sticks and stones, what you say has a tremendous impact. Words can encourage or discourage, so be mindful of all you say. Use your words to uplift yourself and others. Kind words are easy to give and often remembered for a lifetime.
Heavenly Father, help me make the world a better place, one word at a time.

Silent Change

My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest.—Psalm 22:1–2 (ESV)
When God seems silent, when you feel as if your prayers aren’t being answered, change is happening behind the scenes. Even if you can’t feel it, you are growing. You’re developing a deeper faith and a greater knowing. Believe and trust the calm, strong insight that often comes when we feel God is silent.
Dear Lord, in quiet times, when I doubt that You are near, hold me close and comfort me, reassure me there is nothing to fear.

Restore Me

God, your God, will restore everything you lost; he’ll have compassion on you; he’ll come back and pick up the pieces from all the places where you were scattered.—Deuteronomy 30:3 (MSG)
God restores lives. He takes messes, jealousy, and weakness and transforms them into a life full of grace and mercy. He shines wisdom and love on doubt and fear, and brings faith and peace. Every single day, when you open your heart to Him, He is renewing and restoring you—and when God restores you, He doesn’t bring you back. He brings you forward.
Lord Jesus, You restore my soul. Thank You for helping me grow to be my best.

God Is Faithful

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.—Psalm 118:8 (KJV)
It happens in life. People let us down, break promises, and make mistakes. The good news is that God will never fail you. He is always faithful. Your connection to Him grows through prayer. When you are thinking about the future, be sure to plan more time for your spiritual life. The more energy you put into your relationship with Him, the easier it is to discern His will and recognize His presence.
Heavenly Father, I don’t know what this new year will bring—but You do. Awaken me to Your possibilities, each and every day.

New Beginning With God

Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?—Isaiah 43:19 (ESV)

The Heart of David

After removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him: “I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.”—Acts 13:22 (NIV)
Despite his flaws, David was known as a person after God’s own heart, demonstrating his deep connection and obedience to the Lord. What changes can you make to align your heart with His desires? Allow God’s love and wisdom to guide your thoughts, actions and decisions.
Lord, create in me a heart that seeks Your will and desires to honor You in all things.

The Courage to Embrace Your Purpose

“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”—Esther 4:14 (NIV)
Esther ’s courageous act of standing up for her people teaches the importance of embracing our purpose and trusting God’s plan. As you face challenges and opportunities, remember that you are uniquely positioned by God to make an impact. With courage and faith, you can step into your divine calling.
Heavenly Father, grant me the courage to embrace the purpose You have for my life and to trust in Your plans.
