Today's daily devotion

For His Sakeā€¦

Now I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel.ā€”PHILIPPIANS 1:12 NIV

God takes the trials we go through and uses them for His glory. In fact, He generally advances His kingdom through
difficult circumstances.

Whether youā€™re a daughter providing for an aging parent, a mother caring for a disabled child, or a nurse working with chronically ill patients, the Lord wants to encourage you today. He is using your situationā€”the good and the bad of itā€”to woo others to Him.

Imagine this: Youā€™ve worked years caring for someone in need. Youā€™ve fed, bathed, and clothed him. Youā€™ve swept floors, cooked meals, driven to appointmentsā€”and thatā€™s just the start. You feel as if youā€™re completely spentā€”and then something amazing happens. Just as youā€™re ready to call it a day, a neighborā€”someone you donā€™t even knowā€”stops by for a visit. Sheā€™s been watching you for months and wants to know your secret. ā€œHow do you keep going?ā€ she says. And you realize youā€™ve been offered an amazing opportunity to tell this woman about the love of Christ!

Always remember that God is indeed using youā€¦in ways even greater than you know.

Dear Lord, I thank You for choosing to use me to reach out to others, that they might know Your great love!
