Fellowship with the Lord

When the disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to consume them?”—Luke 9:54 (CEB)
James and John were humiliated and angry when they asked for God to call the fire down. Revenge is not the answer. When you are upset, feeling hurt and rejected, ask God to heal your pain and change your focus to love and compassion.
Dear Lord, keep my spirit in check. Help me douse flames of revenge with Your love.
