A Lesson in Abundance
All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.—Luke 21:4 (NIV)
Pilate said to them, “All right, take some of your soldiers and guard the tomb as well as you know how.” So they sealed it tight and placed soldiers there to guard it.—Matthew 27:65-66 CEV
Today as we mourn the death of Jesus we are reminded that even in the darkest times, when we think there is no hope, God is powerfully at work. On days when things seem impossible, when you ache with despair, reflect on Easter and our Lord rising. Believe in miracles.
Risen Lord, give me the faith to look beyond dark times to the victory You are preparing.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.—James 1:17 (NIV)

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.—Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)
