Beautiful Words
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?—James 3:9–11 (NIV)
Jesus wants beautiful things to flow from your life—including the words that come from your mouth. You honor Him by being compassionate, encouraging and loving to others. The more that you allow yourself to be a source of His goodness, the better your life and the lives of those around you will become.
Heavenly Father, guide me to see that my words are important—not only what I say, but how I say them.
