Spiritual Roadblocks
But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.—Isaiah 59:2 (NIV)
“My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”—Jeremiah 2:13 (NIV)
In the above verse, Jeremiah points out that, people make the mistake of looking to the wrong things, “broken cisterns”, ideas or beliefs that don’t hold water and that can never truly satisfy. Jesus gives us a spring of Living Water that will never run dry.
Lord, only You can satisfy the longing in my heart.
