Believe in Miracles
“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”—Mark 11:23 (NIV)
He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.—COLOSSIANS 1:17 NIV
An elderly husband learned that his wife had terminal cancer. A thousand thoughts went through his mind at once. What if I lose her? How will I make it? And how can I care for her when my heart is breaking? She’ll see my grief, and it will only make things harder on her.
Can you feel this poor man’s pain? Do you know his heartbreak? If you’ve walked a loved one through his or her last months or days, then surely you’ve felt such grief.
How do you care for someone during their final hours…when your own heart is breaking? Trust that the Lord of the universe is in control. “He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Circumstances might not go the way you want them to. It’s possible that the valley will deepen before sunlight bursts through. But God will walk with you, giving you strength.
If you’re facing such a situation, ask the Lord to infuse you with peace and His strength. The days ahead might be difficult, but God longs to draw you close…even now. Especially now.
Oh, Father! My heart is broken when I consider the losses I might one day face. And yet I know that You are the glue that holds everything—including me—together. Strengthen me, Lord, and give me peace.

“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.”—Mark 11:23 (NIV)

“Speak, Lord, your servant is listening.”—1 Samuel 3:9 (NLT)

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.—Joshua 1:5 (ESV)
