You Are Worthy
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.—Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
We…have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands and never let go.—HEBREWS 6:18 MSG
Martin Luther is quoted as saying, “Everything that is done in this world is done by hope.”
God created us to hope—and then communicated hope to us in many different ways. The eternal hope we have in Christ is what keeps Christians moving forward rather than wallowing in self-pity. Caring for a dying loved one can rob us of hope, unless we hang on to our hope of eternal life through Christ.
God promised that He would never leave us or forsake us. He gives strength to the weak. And to those who are brokenhearted, He promises comfort. Even on the darkest days, in the midst of the most difficult trials, His promises shine forth as beacons lighting our way. He is the same God who gave deliverance, protection, and comfort to His people, Israel.
Don’t give up. Jesus died and rose again to give us an eternal hope. Rest in His promises today!
Lord, sometimes the days and nights are so long. I see no change in my loved one or the change steals even more of life away. Yet You have promised to sustain me, to stay with me, to walk with me even through the valley of the shadow of death. Help me to keep my eyes on You and hold tightly to Your promises. Help me to never let go!

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.—Colossians 3:13 (NIV)

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.—Proverbs 4:23 (NLT)
