Grudge, Be Gone

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.—Ephesians 4:31-32 (NIV)

If you are having trouble forgiving someone, ask God today for the resources to soften your heart. Like a heavy stone lifted from around your neck, you will be free of a great weight and you will be able to go forward unburdened by self-consuming resentment.

Remind me, Father, how self-defeating it is to hold grudges.
