God Cannot Lie
God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be greatly encouraged.—Hebrews 6:18 (NIV)

Even as Jesus faced unbearable suffering, He focused His prayers on the people hurting Him. Instead of calling out for wrath and destruction, Jesus called for mercy. His compassionate prayer amidst torture is proof of God’s absolute love for each one of us.
Lord Jesus, thank You for all that you endured on the cross for me. Every moment of every day, I grow a deeper understanding of the depth of Your love.
