Silent Change
My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from saving me, from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer, and by night, but I find no rest.—Psalm 22:1–2 (ESV)
When God seems silent, when you feel as if your prayers aren’t being answered, change is happening behind the scenes. Even if you can’t feel it, you are growing. You’re developing a deeper faith and a greater knowing. Believe and trust the calm, strong insight that often comes when we feel God is silent.
Dear Lord, in quiet times, when I doubt that You are near, hold me close and comfort me, reassure me there is nothing to fear.
