Commitment of Love
I will betroth you to me forever. I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion.—Hosea 2:19 (NIV)
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.”—Matthew 13:45-46 (NIV)
Jesus used a precious pearl to symbolize the value of God’s Kingdom. In the parable The Pearl of Great Price, Jesus compares the journey of heaven to a merchant searching for fine pearls and selling everything he had to buy them. Are you giving your all to follow Jesus?
Heavenly Father, I long to live a worthy life and I’m hopeful that one day I will walk through the “pearly gates”!
I will betroth you to me forever. I will betroth you in righteousness and justice, in love and compassion.—Hosea 2:19 (NIV)
The brothers and sisters there had heard that we were coming, and they traveled as far as the Forum of Appius and the Three Taverns to meet us. At the sight of these people Paul thanked God and was encouraged.—Acts 28:15 (NIV)
I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.—Song of Solomon 6:3 (NIV)
