When Holidays Are Difficult

Never again will they hunger; never again will they thirst. The sun will not beat down on them, nor any scorching heat. For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.—Revelation 7:16-17 (NIV)

As we enter into the holidays, recognize that this time of year can be difficult for some people, especially if they have experienced a loss. If you or someone you love is going through a hard time, know that God knows the depth of your grief. He will comfort your heart.

Dear Lord, remind me to be gentle to myself during this difficult time. Lift me up when I am weak and help me find moments of peace.
