Your God Knows Your Future

Instead, you ought to say, “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”—James 4:15 (NIV)
James reminds us that though we might believe we know the future, we are not in control. Planning is necessary, but we run into trouble when we begin to think that we have the power to direct the events of the days ahead.
Lord, I know You have great plans for me. Help me surrender my desire to control things. Help me trust You.
