Your Stronghold of Faith

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.—Psalm 18:2 (NIV)
Unexpected and challenging changes—you lose a job or feel betrayed by a friend—can be difficult to cope with. Yet when you reflect on your journey, you recognize that despite your fear and resistance, the difficult times brought wisdom and compassion. Your faith grew, and so did your spirit.
Lord, comfort me and guide me when life takes an unpleasant turn. Help me accept what has happened and trust that You are in control.
