When Fear Strikes

For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.—Isaiah 41:13 NIV
God understands that fear enters our lives at challenging times. Instead of focusing on your fear, turn to your faith. Be assured that God is always with you. He is the One who conquers fear and gives you the peace your heart craves.
Lord Jesus, help me to feel the peace of Your presence.

Fill Your Spirit

Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”—John 4:10 NIV
God is always available to us when our souls are parched. We only need to ask Him for His healing streams. If you feel weary, read the Bible and draw close to Christ. He can quench your heart’s thirst and help you feel spiritually fulfilled.
Thank You, God, for satisfying my thirsty soul with Your life-giving Spirit. Remind me to come to You when I feel like I’m running on empty.

The Widow’s Offering

All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.—Luke 21:4 NIV
Jesus’ story in this Scripture is one of the greatest sermons on giving that has ever been preached. The Bible tells us that if you give “out of poverty” you will receive great blessings. Why not put this principle in practice today? Be prepared to receive an outpouring of God’s unfathomable love.
Lord, help me remember that You have given me far more than I can ever give.

God Has Your Back

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you.—Joshua 1:5 ESV

A Supreme Act of Faith

Then Noah built an altar to the LORD and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it.—Genesis 8:20 NIV
The first thing Noah did after leaving the ark was to build an altar and offer sacrifices to praise God. Consider how he must have felt stepping off the ark onto steady ground. Reflect on times in your life when you needed to act on faith alone.
Heavenly Father, I yearn to be as obedient to Your call as Noah was—to boldly follow Your instructions and always put You first.

His Living Word

For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.—Hebrews 4:12 NIV

God speaks through Scripture. His word is alive and active. Open your Bible and let His word transform your life. Allow the power of Scripture to enter your heart, mind and spirit.

Heavenly Father, Your word is at work right now, comforting and guiding me.
