Divine Love

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing…”—Luke 23:34 NIV
Even as Jesus faced excruciating pain and suffering, He focused his prayers on others. Instead of calling out for wrath and destruction, Jesus called for mercy. His compassionate prayer amidst unimaginable torture is proof of God’s absolute love for each one of us.
Lord, thank You for Your loving me unconditionally. Help me to be more like Jesus, more forgiving and selfless.

Well Done Prayer

His master replied, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!”—Matthew 25:21 (NIV)

Do you have the heart of a servant in all that you do? Are you using the abilities, gifts and resources that you have been given to bring glory to the Lord? Ask God to show you ways you can be of service. Whenever you feel a task is too big ask Him for help.

Heavenly Father, help me live so that I am one day welcomed to heaven with the words, “Well done!”
