God’s timing is sometimes different from your own, and waiting on Him and remaining hopeful might seem impossible. If you become weary, turn to the Bible. Remind yourself who God is and why you should continue to hope in Him. Trust as David, the great king of Israel, did in the above verse, and know that God will guide your steps.

Are you a positive thinker? Do you see the silver linings in the storms of life? Do you use encouraging words when you talk over a problem with yourself? If not, make a commitment to change your thinking. Fill your mind with good, uplifting thoughts and you’ll be amazed at the blessings that follow.

Have you made any New Year’s resolutions? Even if you’re someone who shies away from setting goals, it’s not too late to take a moment and ask God what special things He would like you to do in the coming year.

Are you at a crossroads and finding it difficult to decide what to do, which goal to pursue, or how to spend your time? Sometimes too many opportunities can cause confusion and worry about making a mistake. When you feel overwhelmed by options, draw your attention back to God. Ask Him to help you choose the right path.

It’s easy to fall into the illusion of believing that you can control everything. But the fact is that circumstances arise that are completely beyond your power. Instead of feeling overwhelmed and defeated, trust the greatest power in the world. Give the situation and the outcome to God.
