When the Apostle Paul asked God to take away a “thorn in the flesh,” God said no. Why? Because Paul’s pain was being used by God for a purpose. When you serve God despite your weaknesses and struggles, you show others the grace of His glory.

You are progressing on the Way of Holiness. Reflect on how you feel as you move toward being more fully centered on God’s will. Take a moment and praise God for the positive changes happening in your faith and your life.

If you are experiencing a time of sorrow or distress, offer your suffering to God. Ask for His peace. With prayer, grief can be transformed into empathy, understanding and compassion.
