Loving God is a process that begins by consistently spending time with Him. As you grow your relationship with Him, you become open to His ways and your priorities fall into place. Most importantly, you show your love for Him by sharing His love with others.

Our minds frame our perspective and shape every experience. When you keep the Lord in your mind, you are anchored to the truth and power of His Word. You avoid thinking negatively and worrying about what-if scenarios. Instead, you can rest soundly knowing He is beside you, helping you along the way.

Sometimes obstacles seem so large that you might feel defeated, but God promises that because of Him, you have the power of His strength. With Him by your side, you can triumph over even the toughest problems.

Keep your faith in check. Make sure that you pray every day and not just when crisis strikes. Develop a deep connection with God. Share your fears and worries and ask for help with solutions before problems spiral out of control.

Disappointments are part of life. When you don’t get what you want, hold tightly to your faith. Maintain confidence in yourself and in God, and recognize that often He has better things planned for you.

End your evenings with prayers of gratitude. Right before you go to bed, instead of rehashing the day or worrying about tomorrow, thank God for your blessings. List everything that makes you happy, from the comfort of your bed, to the loved ones that make your life special.

An important part of prayer is listening. Spend some of your prayer time talking and focusing on your problems, but then shift your worry to being calm and quiet so that you can hear His reassurance. Know that He is with you.

God gives us an escape plan from temptation. When you are tempted to do something that you know isn’t right, turn to Him for help. With the power of the Holy Spirit you will have the strength to stand firm.
