You are a work in progress. Share with God that you strive to be like Him and to please Him in every aspect of your life. Read His Word and pour out your heart to Him. Be patient with yourself; your spiritual growth is a lifelong process.

Is something bothering you? Loosen your grip and know that He is with you now wanting to help. Open up and let Him in. Recognize that His ways may be beyond your understanding. Your relationship is based on loving faith.

God made you to be grateful—to have a heart that is filled with joy and not complaints. Focus your attention on the many things in your life to be thankful for right now. Praise God, the author of all good and perfect gifts, for all He has done for you.

This Scripture advises you to guard your mind by fixing your thoughts on things worthy of your time. Whenever an undesirable thought or temptation enters your mind, use this verse to think about Jesus and that He is true, honorable, just, pure and lovely.

Helen Keller wrote, “Believe, when you are most unhappy, that there is something for you to do in the world. So long as you can sweeten another’s pain, life is not in vain.” When you are suffering, allow Jesus to comfort you so that you may extend His comfort to others.

Thank God for always hearing your prayers, for being there and always listening to your needs. Praise Him for the many ways He has brought you comfort, blessings and encouragement. Praise Him for His greatness!

James and John were humiliated and angry when they asked for God to call the fire down. Revenge is not the answer. When you are upset, feeling hurt and rejected, ask God to heal your pain and change your focus to love and compassion.

Obstacles and problems help shape your faith, define your character and give you the opportunity to rise to life’s challenges with strength. Fight the urge to worry about tomorrow. Instead, focus on today and what you can do right now.

Your Heavenly Father is ever present, ever protecting, keeping you in His daily care. Whenever you feel stressed, turn to this verse and believe Christ’s promise: There is nothing to fear.

Just as your body needs water, your spirit thirsts for God’s presence. Open your heart to welcome the streams of living water to flow within you. Drink in His goodness and grow to bear spiritual fruit.

When you are going through dark times, keep moving and keep on putting your hope in Jesus, the Light of the world. Know that there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and every tunnel offers lessons that will help you grow. Every tunnel moves you forward to a destination.
