Prayer to Calm Anxiety

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.”—Psalm 55:22 (NIV)
Worry can wreak havoc on your emotions, making it so you can’t concentrate, eat or even sleep. If you find yourself overcome with unnerving thoughts, turn to God in prayer. Ask Him to replace your anxious thoughts with peace and to reassure you that everything will work out for the best.
Heavenly Father, when I am caught in an endless cycle of worry, guide my thoughts back to You. I know that You alone will keep me safe.
