Amy Grant has been a favorite of Guideposts readers since she first graced our cover (her first magazine cover ever!) in 1986.
Then in 2005, she appeared on our November cover, sharing her thoughts about gratitude and her grandmother’s cheese grits recipe.
We’ve been lucky enough to share Amy’s amazing music, too. She sang a duet with Matthew West, Give Christmas Away, here in the Guideposts office. And she hung out in Central Park last summer to talk about her album, Somewhere Down the Road.
So when Amy announced on her website the sad news of why she had to cancel her Carnegie Hall concert, we knew Guideposts readers could help. Amy wrote:
My mom is currently under hospice care and living at our home.
We believe she is in her final days.
A good death is made possible because of a life well lived.
I so appreciate this time of family togetherness honoring my amazing mother.
