Kayla thinks she might be pregnant, but she’s not sure. Did she go too far? Here’s an episode from Today’s Girls. Let’s watch and find out.
Do you feel anxious when it comes to talking to your daughter about falling in love and waiting to have sex until marriage? Do you assume she already knows about sex?
I want to encourage you to talk with her about this topic, because if you don’t, the world will. Our world is bombarding our teenage daughters with messages about sex from movies, magazines, television and social media.
1) Let your daughter know that many people have regrets after having premarital sex, but few ever regret waiting. Here is a great article about regrets.
2) Talk to your daughter. She does listen to you, whether or not you think otherwise. She’ll think twice before making her decision to wait or not if she knows your opinion about it.
3) If your daughter has chosen to have sex before marriage and has regrets, let her know that she is loved and that she can start anew.
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31, ESV)
