A Salmon Recipe from Robin Miller’s Granddad

Syrup and soy sauce work together in this flavorful, omega-3-packed dish

Ingredients

Cooking spray

6 salmon fillets (5 ounces each)

Salt and pepper

1/3 cup maple syrup

2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce

2 teaspoons Dijon mustard

Preparation

1. Coat a stovetop grill or large skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium-high.

2. Season both sides of salmon fillets with salt and pepper.

3. In a bowl, whisk together maple syrup, soy sauce and mustard. Brush mixture all over the salmon.

4. Grill salmon for 3 to 5 minutes per side, until fish pulls apart when tested with a fork.

5. Serve four of the fillets with this meal. Reserve the other two fillets for the Salmon Benedict.
