When I began writing about angels, I noticed that the secular media didn’t know what to do about them. The talk show hosts were usually very kind to me when we did interviews, but sometimes at a loss to describe what angels were, and their roles in our lives.

It obviously took time for them to become more comfortable with this topic. But they did, and three entries here are proof positive:

• On Sunday mornings from 8-9 am/CST, you can have the pleasure of tuning in to God Stories. (At last, a host—Linda Padgurksis—who says “God” instead of “The Universe”!) For an entire hour, guests and call-ins share stories of angels and miracles in their lives. Talk about wholesome! Chicago-area listeners can hear the show on 1530AM WJJG and the rest of you can access it through www.wjjgam1530.com.

• Many of you have heard about Oprah Winfrey’s new TV network, OWN. One of the shows on OWN is titled Miracle Detectives and it features a few happenings that might possibly be supernatural…but maybe not (two experts debate). The show is on at 9 pm/CST every Wednesday. On January 19th, the show will feature a wonderful story about a little girl in a hospital, which I wrote for my book Where Miracles Happen. The mom in this story is one of the sweetest and most faith-filled people on earth, so I am hoping the debate was respectful. See what you think.

• Finally, those of you who watch Dr. Oz will meet another doctor on his show on Tuesday, February 1st. (Dr Oz’s show is syndicated, so you have to find the actual time of broadcast yourself.) This guest, Dr. Issam Nemah, is a Cleveland-based physician and devout Catholic who has a gift of healing, and has prayed over tens of thousands of people from all faiths and all walks of life in the past two decades. The result? Miracles. Dr. Nemah is low-key, gentle and definitely believes in angels.

If you like these shows, take a moment to email a “thank you” to the producers. You will be encouraging more of this programming.
