Besides spending time with friends and family counting our blessings, Thanksgiving means getting ready for Christmas. And not by snagging the best Black Friday deals, either; by getting into the Christmas spirit.
Here’s one great way to do just that: On Saturday and Sunday at 7, 9 and 11 P.M., GMC TV will air Christmas Angel, starring Della Reese (Touched by an Angel). In Christmas Angel, some kids start getting their Christmas wishes granted, and a young girl becomes convinced that a woman who just moved into the neighborhood is a real angel making dreams come true.
Many Angels on Earth readers can relate to this young girl’s curiosity. How often have you wondered if your own life was touched by an angel? Here are a few recent examples featured in Angels on Earth: Neighbors banding together when a couple need it most. A roadside angel coming to the rescue during a frightening storm. One misunderstood cherub helping a man understand God’s love at Christmas. Could these folks be real angels?
The more important question is: Does it matter if the heroes in our lives are God’s winged helpers or simply humans with angelic hearts? Either way, they are real angels, sowing compassion and mercy. Now that’s the Christmas spirit!
