If you walk into the Guideposts office, you’ll notice that some of our walls are covered in chalk paint that you can write on. Sometimes you’ll find doodles or signatures from people who’ve visited the office on the walls. Other times, you’ll find some pretty bold statements. For example, someone once wrote that Mysterious Ways magazine rules. A subtle dig at Angels on Earth magazine, I think. (Okay, fine, it was me who wrote that!)

Last week, though, something even more surprising showed up on the wall closest to the office kitchen. A letter from God that said:
Good morning,
I will be handling all your problems today.
Love, God
There was also this additional note:
David didn’t need to know Goliath’s strength because he knew God’s!
I marched straight up to my work buddy Danielle Lyle’s desk–she’s been known to leave anonymous bits of wonder around our floor. And she loves the Old Testament like no one else in the office, except maybe Rick Hamlin! But she had no clue who was behind the chalk note.
Who could’ve written it? That remains a mystery. But, regardless, the message was clear.
