As you might know, I love finding hearts in nature and all around. (Just the other day, my sister Priscilla and I found a heart-shaped flake in her box of cereal, and we went crazy over it!)
So when I came across this story from Mysterious Ways reader Shana Meyerson, I just had to share it. She was on her way to her niece’s Bat Mitzvah back in March when she noticed something quite remarkable in the sky above.
Here’s Shana’s sweet story:
March 11 is the birthday of both my beloved grandpa, who passed away in 1998, and my beautiful niece, Eliyah, who was named after him. Grampy was my soul mate. My Bubby, aka my grandma, used to tell me, “You know, Shana, Grampy loved you more than anyone on earth…including me.”
So I couldn’t help but think of him as I was driving to Eliyah’s Bat Mitzvah on March 11, 2016. Halfway there, “In Color” by Jamey Johnson came on my radio. This is the one song that reminds me the most of Grampy, and it always reduces me to tears.

As I was singing along and choking on the words, I looked up…and saw something incredible in the clouds. A big heart and a little heart.
I know, without a doubt, that Grampy was the “big heart” sending me a message that he was with the
“little heart”–Eliyah–on the day of her Bat Mitzvah. And he was watching over me too.
For the rest of the drive, I could hardly see through all the happy tears.
