I’ll admit it. I can get a bit heart crazy–I’ve written before about the hearts I’ve come across while walking around New York City.
And, a few weeks ago, Sharon Mangas guest blogged about an amazing ice heart that appeared outside her window.
In fact, just this past weekend, I spotted hearts on the sidewalk and my friend poked fun at me for stopping to take photos.
But, since it’s almost Valentine’s Day, I think it’s okay to get a bit carried away. That’s why I’ve decided to share some of our favorite reader and staff photos of hearts spotted in nature and beyond.
There’s also this stunning gallery of nature-made–and a few man-made–hearts from the Telegraph.
See, I’m not alone in my love of hearts. In fact, actress Drew Barrymore even released a book called Find It in Everything that documents hearts she’s found and photographed over the past 10 years.
“I have always loved hearts,” she writes. “The way that continuous line accomplishes the most extraordinary thing–it conveys love.”
I have to agree with Drew. Every time I see a heart in an unexpected place, it’s like finding a little love note from God. I know, I know. I’m getting a little cray-cray again!
Take a look at the galleries above and let me know which heart is your favorite. Plus, don’t forget to share your own love-ly photos with us on Facebook.
