How God Sees Things

Why God has the best view in the universe.

How God sees the world.

I just came back this week from a short vacation in Florida with my family. What a beautiful time we had chilling on the beach. But one of the moments that really sticks out wasn’t swimming in the ocean or searching for seashells. It was the plane ride back to New York City this past Monday.

Of course, it wasn’t my first time flying. But as the plane rose above Florida, I couldn’t help stare out the window, transfixed. My sister, Priscilla, sat next to me in the coveted window seat, absorbed in a book. I kept glancing over her shoulder. Eventually she had no choice but to turn and look as well.

As God sees the world? We were treated to spectacular image of the clouds, fluffy like mashed potatoes.

“Take a picture!” I told Priscilla. I wanted to remember every bit of it.

Three hours later, we prepared to land and got another view. This time of New York City in all its twinkly, nighttime glory. For once, it looked less like one of the most intimidating cities in the world and more like a LEGO city. And I felt relaxed, like I was sitting on the beach again!

There’s just something about the view from above that puts me at ease. At an altitude of 30,000 feet, all the worries and fears of the day seem small. You get a glimpse of the big picture, not just your apartment building, block or neighborhood.

Kind of like how God must see things. I can just picture Him looking down, listening to our pleas and mapping out all his miracles and wonders. From where He sits, high above the clouds, no problem is too big. No obstacle out of His control.

He’s got the best view in the universe.

What about you? Is there an image or photograph that always puts things into perspective for you? I’d love to see it! Post it in the comments section below or share it with us on Facebook.
