Ingredients
3 cups sweet apple cider
4 whole star anise pods
½ teaspoon whole allspice berries
1 teaspoon whole cloves
1 5-inch Ceylon cinnamon stick
4 white cardamom pods, cracked
2 slices of orange, quartered
2 slices of lemon, quartered
Preparation
1. Combine all of the ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat and bring to a low simmer.
2. Lower the heat and continue to simmer gently for 30 minutes.
3. Ladle into four mugs and serve steaming hot.
