Christian Prayers

Father,
Fill me with hope.
Reassure me that things will get better.
Shine Your light onto my life,
Brighten my dark thoughts
and help me have faith to know that all is
according to Your plan.
Amen.

Lord, help me see Your presence in the midst of daily struggles. Replace my weary moments with Your infinite strength. Embrace me with Your loving arms when I feel isolated and alone. Reassure me with Your perfect peace when I am overwhelmed and anxious Lead me towards compassion and love amidst moments of frustration and sadness. Today and every day Guide me to the simple gestures I can do to ease another’s suffering. Bless my spirit with Your abiding grace and remind me in moments of weakness that You are the Ultimate Giver and with Your help I have everything I need to carry on. —Sabra Ciancanelli

Lord, I come before you today knowing that all power is in Your hand. I know that you are the Lord and that you care for your people. Right now, my friend is struggling with a difficult trial. I can see her strength is faltering, Lord, and know that you have all of the strength that she needs.
I pray that you will reach down and touch her right now wherever she is at this moment. Let your presence fill the room where she is and let her feel an extra portion of your strength that can help her to get through this day.
She needs you now, Lord, and I thank you in advance for meeting her where she is and shoring up her strength during this difficult time.

The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me? Psalm 118:6

Dear Lord, when I think of the possibilities in this my situation, I feel afraid. Help me think less about these possibilities—and more about Your powerful Word. Amen.

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3

Heavenly Father, I’m worried and full of fear. I have tried to reassure myself, but it doesn’t help. Touch me with Your peace and help my disturbed mind know that, with You, I need fear no evil. Amen.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Dear Lord, You enable me to do things I never thought possible. Your power upholds the universe and can handle all of my needs. Your love refreshes my spirit. Keep me in the stream of Your strengthening, enabling life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; may Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. Psalm 143:10

Lord, no matter what I need, the wisdom that will enrich my life and make me whole is found in Your word. Renew me with Your love and strength so that I may grow closer to You. My life is Yours, Father. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Dear Lord, protect me with Your strength and guide me with Your wisdom. Help me to remember to rely on my faith when I am afraid and draw from Your peace when I am overcome with worry. Fill my heart with Your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:24

Father, thank You for my marriage. Please help my spouse and I grow together rather than apart. Deepen our bonds as we face life’s challenges. May our relationship flourish in Your loving hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me. Psalm 30:2

Heavenly Father, You are the Great Physician. I turn to You in my sickness and ask for Your healing. Put Your hand upon me and let health and wholeness flow into me. Help me remember, in this time of vulnerability, my utter dependence on You. I commit myself to Your loving arms. Amen.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

Dear Lord, I ask for Your guidance. Give me the power of Your grace so that I may hear Your divine instructions. Remove any barriers that keep me from drawing near to You. Open my heart and clear my vision so that I may follow Your path. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
