Christian Prayers

“For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” Isaiah 41:13

Dear Lord, may I live every moment in the light of Your love. When I am filled with doubt or fear remind me that no matter what I need, Your spirit can touch my heart and fill me with peace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Dear Lord, I surrender my financial worries to Your love and care. Guide me with Your wisdom and help me make the changes necessary to live within my means. Help me remember my needs are met according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender. Proverbs 22:7

God, help us straighten out our financial problems. We haven’t been good stewards of our money. Give us a new attitude and a new commitment to managing our money wisely and responsibly. If our problems are beyond our repair, help us find a way—Your way—to meet our obligations. Amen.

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands. Psalm 90:17

Father, stimulate my creativity and help me find a job that suits my skills and furthers my career path. Thank you for sharing Your wisdom with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear Lord, sustain my spirit as I look for a job. I ask that you fill me with Your peace and strength as I face daily challenges of making ends meet. Shed Your love upon me and help me recognize the blessings You have already given me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. John 16:33

God, I do not like it when I’m depressed. It slows me down and makes me feel things I don’t want to feel: immense sadness for myself, others and our world. Sustain me in this time and hold me close. Amen.

The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Isaiah 58:11

Heavenly Father, I feel so alone. Sometimes it feels like nobody cares; I long for companionship and close relationships. But Lord, remind me that You care and that You will never leave me. Comfort me and surround me with Your love and understanding. Guide me to see that Your grace is sufficient, for deep down I know that Your power is greatest when I feel the weakest. Amen.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. James 4:10

Heavenly Father, please protect my loved one who is battling addiction; their life is full of torment and trouble. Surround them with Your peace and guide them to make the right choices that will ultimately lead to their recovery. Amen.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Dear God, help me turn my spirit towards  You so that I can find the strength to overcome my problems. Forgive my doubts and fears. Fill my heart with Your healing love and the power of Your strength so that I may live the life You planned for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

O Lord, in Whom is our hope, remove far from us, we pray Thee, empty hopes and presumptuous confidence. Make our hearts so right with Thy most holy and loving heart, that hoping in Thee we may do good; until that day when faith and hope shall be abolished by sight and possession, and love shall be all in all.

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6

Heavenly Father, You have blessed us with the joy and care of these children: Give us strength and patient wisdom as we raise them so that we may teach them to do Your work and to lovingly follow the example of Your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Now that daylight fills the sky, we lift our hearts to God on high, that He, in all we do or say, would keep us free from harm today.
