Irish Blessing

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rain fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

O Father, who made every person of every race, forgive me for not loving all You made. But I cannot do it unless this inner self bends its head and accepts Your yoke. Help me to do it. Amen.

My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it. Therefore I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.

The Lord sustains them on their sickbed and restores them from their bed of illness. Psalm 41:3 Father God, please heal all those who are battling cancer. Bless them with hope and the courage to get through each hour, each day and each month of treatment. Comfort them, take away their pain and surround them with loving family, friends and caregivers. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
