Daily Devotions

A daily devotional is a trusted guide, and it is an invitation to nurture your spiritual life. Devotionals include a Bible verse, a reflection on that verse, and usually a short prayer. They can be inspiring, comforting or even humorous. When you make time to read a daily devotion, you make space for your soul. A daily devotional offers a chance to take a break from the busy world and connect with God. Let your daily devotions lead your spiritual life forward.

A Blessed Easter

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”—John 11:25 (NIV)
On this beautiful Easter day, feel the power of the Resurrection and know how deeply and unconditionally\ you are loved. Let your heart be filled with hope and gratitude, for His love knows no bounds.
Lord, help me to remember the true meaning of Easter—that Jesus conquered death and offers us eternal life. May this truth fill my heart with awe and wonder, deepening my love and devotion for You.

A Day of Waiting

I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.—Lamentations 3:24–26 (NIV)
Holy Saturday is a day of waiting, a day that sits between the sorrow of Good Friday and the joy of Easter Sunday. In this time of waiting, remember that God’s plans are unfolding even when you can’t see them. Hold on to hope, knowing that the dawn of resurrection is near.
Heavenly Father, in times of waiting, help me to trust in Your perfect timing and hold onto hope.

You Are Healed

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.—Isaiah 53:5 (NIV)
On Good Friday, remember the ultimate sacrifice Jesus made for you on the cross. His suffering and death were not in vain but were for your salvation. Through His wounds, you are healed, and through His death, you have life.
Lord, on this Good Friday, I am reminded of Your great love for me, shown through Your ultimate sacrifice.

An Act of Humility

As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.—Luke 7:38 (NIV)
When you feel burdened by guilt, remember Mary Magdalene. Her act of washing Jesus’ feet with her tears was a powerful demonstration of repentance and humility. Embrace such humility and seek God’s forgiveness.
Lord, help me to seek Your forgiveness with a humble heart.

Wednesday of Holy Week

“Abba, Father,” he said, “everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet  not what I will, but what you will.”—MARK 14:36 (NIV)
Today, Wednesday of Holy Week, reflect on Jesus’ quiet preparation and the depth of His surrender, even in the face of unimaginable suffering. Let it inspire you to surrender your own struggles and fears to God, trusting in His divine plan.
Dear Lord, give me the strength to trust in Your will.

Seek God’s Wisdom

He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.”—John 3:2 (NIV)
Just like Nicodemus, who sought Jesus in the night, you too may have questions and doubts. But remember, seeking God’s wisdom is a journey, often filled with questions. Embrace these questions and seek His wisdom.
Lord, help me to embrace my questions and seek Your wisdom.

Embrace Your Unique Gifts

Again the Israelites cried out to the Lord, and he gave them a deliverer—Ehud, a left-handed man, the son of Gera the Benjamite.—Judges 3:15 (NIV)
Just like Ehud, you possess unique gifts that have been granted to you by God for a special purpose. Even Ehud’s uncommon left-handedness was used by God to deliver His people. So, don’t hesitate to embrace your own uniqueness and have unshakable faith. Trust that God can use your gifts for His glory.
Lord, help me trust Your purpose for me.

Help From Above

There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up.—Exodus 3:2 (NIV)
Signs from God may not always be as obvious as a burning bush, but most believers have heard the still, small voice that prompts all those who listen. Whenever you are struggling with a difficult decision, ask God for help. He is an expert in dealing with complex situations.
Dear Lord, give me the strength to wait patiently for Your guidance and counsel.

Refuge in His Fortress

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”—Psalm 91:1–2 (NIV)
When you need peace, find refuge in God’s presence. He is your shelter, your protection against life’s storms. As you navigate your journey, know that you are not alone. God walks with you, offering His unwavering protection. Trust in His promise to guard and guide you, and rest in the peaceful shadow of the Almighty.
Dear Lord, strengthen my faith to trust in Your love and protection.

The Grace of Mistakes

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.—Romans 3:23–24 (NIV)
It’s important to remember that everyone makes mistakes. However, it’s not the mistake that defines you, but how you respond. Rather than feeling guilty or ashamed, try to see your mistakes as opportunities for growth. Remember that God’s grace is always sufficient for you, and His love covers all your shortcomings.
Merciful Father, help me learn from my mistakes and remember that Your grace is more than enough for me.

The Righteous Stand

Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.—James 1:27 (NLT)
If you feel like you’re not making progress in your spiritual journey, try shifting your focus toward God. Reflect on who He is and all the things He has done for you. The Bible reminds us to serve others and put their needs before our own. When you ask God to bring opportunities for you to serve Him by helping others, you’re not only fulfilling His commandment but also becoming a better person in the process.
Dear God, guide me to put my faith into action and serve others selflessly.

The Promise of Hope

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.—Matthew 5:4 (NIV)
When you face a loss, it’s important to remember that God understands your pain and is there to comfort you through this challenging time. Lean into His loving presence, allow Him to hold you in your grief, and trust that He will guide you through this season of mourning. You are not alone. With God’s help, you can find peace and healing.
Gracious Father, when I feel the weight of my loss, wrap me in Your love and reassure me with the promise of Your eternal hope.
