A Spirit of Love and Sound Mind
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.—2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)
What shall I say? For he has spoken to me, and he himself has done it. I walk slowly all my years because of the bitterness of my soul.—Isaiah 38:15 (ESV)
In the above verse, King Hezekiah learned his life was near the end. Filled with bitterness, he called out to God and his bitterness was replaced with wholeness. When you are distressed, look to the Lord and become whole.
Lord, when bitterness consumes me, I will call out to You, the only One who can fill me with Your grace.
